In a highly anticipated match, Croatia and Netherlands faced off in the Nations League semi-finals. Both teams put up a strong fight, with neither side able to gain a clear advantage over the other during the regulation time. However, in extra time, Croatia managed to pull ahead, scoring two quick goals to secure a 4-2 victory over Netherlands. The crowd erupted in cheers as the Croatian players celebrated their hard-fought win.

Donyell Malen fired the Dutch into the lead in the 34th minute, but Croatia equalized shortly after half-time thanks to Andrej Kramaric's goal from the penalty spot. The visitors then took the lead in the 72nd minute thanks to Mario Pasalic's goal from close range, but the Netherlands forced extra time as Noa Lang scored in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time. Bruno Petkovic regained the lead for Croatia with a brilliant goal from distance in the 98th minute, before Luka Modric sealed the win with their second goal from the penalty spot in the closing minutes.

Croatia will face the winner of Thursday's semi-final between Spain and Italy in Sunday's final. Given their track record against the two sides, they may prefer to face Italy. Since Croatia gained their independence three decades ago, they are unbeaten in eight matches against Italy. They have beaten them three times, including a 2-1 victory in the group stage of the 2002 World Cup. Their record against Spain is more mixed. In nine over the past three decades, they have taken three wins and a draw alongside five losses. Their most recent meeting came two years ago in the round of 16 at Euro 2020, and it was quite a memorable one. Spain led 3-1 before Croatia scored two goals in the closing minutes to force extra time, but Spain eventually rebounded to win 5-3.

Overall, it was a thrilling match that showcased the skill and determination of both teams. While Netherlands will be disappointed with the result, they can hold their heads high knowing that they put up a valiant effort.
