2023 Women World cup: Ten players to watch out for

The FIFA Women's World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association, the sport's international governing body. The 2023 Women World cup will be taking place on the 20 Jul 2023 to Sun, 20 Aug 2023. This year's tournament will be held in Australia and New Zealand making it the first-ever co-hosted Women's World Cup. 3. Alex Morgan – United states: Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player who plays as a striker. She is the captain of San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League, the highest division of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.

4. Khadija Shaw – Jamaica: Khadija Monifa "Bunny" Shaw OD is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a forward for Women's Super League club Manchester City and the Jamaica women's national team. She is Jamaica's all-time top goal scorer.

5. Alexia Putellas – Spain: Alexia Putellas Segura, often known solely as Alexia, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Barcelona, which she captains, and the Spain national team, which she has captained. She previously played for Espanyol and Levante, and has represented Catalonia.

6. Ada Hegerberg – Norway: Ada Martine Stolsmo Hegerberg is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a striker for the Division 1 Féminine club Lyon and the Norway national team. Hegerberg has represented Norway at the youth international level, and made her debut for the senior team in 2011.

7. Lena Oberdorf – Germany: Lena Sophie Oberdorf is a German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg and the Germany national team.


8. Yui Hasegawa – Japan: Yui Hasegawa is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Women's Super League club Manchester City and the Japan national team. A versatile midfielder.

9. Lucy Bronze – England: Lucia Roberta Tough Bronze MBE, known as Lucy Bronze, is a professional footballer who
plays as a right-back for Liga F club Barcelona and the England women's national team.

10. Asisat Oshoala – Nigeria: Asisat Lamina Oshoala MON is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish Liga F club FC Barcelona and the Nigeria women's national team.
