How to reset DStv decoder manually

There are two main ways to reset your DStv decoder manually, depending on whether you want a simple reboot or a full factory reset:
Simple Reboot:
This is a good option if your decoder is unresponsive, frozen, or has other minor issues.
It will clear any temporary glitches without affecting your settings or recordings.
Turn off the decoder: Use the power button on the decoder or remote control.
Wait for 30 seconds: This allows the decoder to fully power down.
Turn the decoder back on: Wait for it to boot up completely.
Factory Reset:
This will erase all your settings, recordings, and downloaded content. It's only recommended if you're having serious problems or want to start fresh. Remember to back up any important recordings before proceeding.
Method 1: Through the Menu (for Explora and HD decoders)
Press the blue DStv button on your remote.
Go to Settings using the arrow keys.
Select System Settings.
Choose Reset Decoder Settings.
Select Reset To Factory Default.
Confirm the reset by pressing OK.
Method 2: Manual Button Sequence (for all decoders)
Warning: This method requires precise timing and may not work on all decoder models.
If you're unsure, use the menu method instead.
Locate the Reset and Standby buttons on the front panel of your decoder.
Press and hold both buttons simultaneously. The display will show "dL".
Immediately press the following buttons in quick succession: Standby, P+, P-, P+, Standby.
If done correctly, the decoder will reset to factory settings.
Additional Notes:
After a factory reset, you will need to re-enter your decoder settings, including language, country, and satellite dish information.
