Paxumusic Now Called Spotivik

I just wanted to start a thread here to talk about something that caught my attention this week – and I’m sure many of you have noticed it too, especially if you’ve been following Paxumusic.

As of recently, Paxumusic has officially rebranded to Spotivik – yep, a whole new name, new look, and what seems to be a much more ambitious vision for the platform moving forward. So, I figured this deserves a proper discussion thread here where we can all chime in on the transition, what it means, and what we’re excited (or skeptical) about.

So, what exactly is Spotivik?

In simple terms, Spotivik is the next chapter for Paxumusic. While Paxumusic focused heavily on up-and-coming independent artists and underground talent, Spotivik is taking things further. According to the official announcement, the rebrand was driven by the need to create a name and identity that better reflects their global aspirations.

Spotivik still champions indie music (which I’m personally happy about), but now they're offering more tools for artists to monetize their content, engage directly with fans, and even license their music. The platform interface has been upgraded too – it feels smoother, more responsive, and more polished than the old Paxumusic layout.

Here are some of the key changes I’ve noticed since the switch:

Brand Identity:
Spotivik sounds more modern and international. Let’s be real – "Paxumusic" was kind of a niche-sounding name. "Spotivik" feels sleek and competitive, like they’re ready to stand next to the big guys like Spotify or Audiomack.

User Dashboard Improvements:
The new dashboard is much cleaner. Artists can now track streams, engagement, and earnings with more clarity. I’ve heard they’re also rolling out analytics for promotional campaigns soon.

Monetization Tools:
They’ve added a feature where fans can directly support artists through tips, subscriptions, and merch sales. This was totally missing from Paxumusic, so it’s a major step forward.

Better Mobile Experience:
The new mobile version is miles ahead. It’s faster, more intuitive, and works seamlessly with social media links and embeds.

Curated Playlists and Radio-Style Listening:
Spotivik is investing more into algorithmic and editorial playlists. This should give lesser-known artists more chances to get discovered.

Why the Name Change?

According to their statement (which I saw on their official social pages), the name Paxumusic was originally meant to combine "peace" and "music" – which was a nice sentiment – but it didn’t quite stick with audiences or reflect where the brand was heading.

With the growing competition in music platforms, they needed something fresh. “Spotivik” was chosen to reflect “spotting the vibe” – a cool name that blends the ideas of discovery, music vibes, and technology.

What People Are Saying

I’ve seen mixed reactions online. Some people are nostalgic for the Paxumusic name, but most seem to agree that Spotivik sounds more polished. I also saw a few users saying this reminds them of when other platforms rebranded and took off (like when Musical.ly became TikTok).

That said, rebranding is always a risk. What matters now is how Spotivik delivers in the next few months.

Final Thoughts

Personally, I think this rebrand was needed. Paxumusic had potential but always felt like it was stuck in beta mode. Spotivik feels like a real contender. If they can keep supporting artists while building a vibrant fanbase, I think they might actually become one of the go-to places for music discovery.

Has anyone here started using Spotivik yet? What are your first impressions? Are you an artist who was on Paxumusic – and if so, how smooth was the transition?

Would love to hear your thoughts. Let’s keep this thread going! https://spotivik.com
