When I first heard the term "heat-friendly wig", I was actually quite confused: Does this mean that the wig can resist heat? Or can it be heated and styled? Later, I tried one myself and then I understood - it turns out that this refers to wigs that can be styled with curling irons and electric flats! Moreover, many of them are made of highly simulated human hair fibers, and the appearance is very natural.
I first bought a heat-friendly wig because I like to change my hairstyle, but I don't want to buy a new wig every time. At that time, I bought a straight long curly hair
half wig. I usually wore it at work. On weekends, I used a curling iron to slightly curl the ends of my hair, and it instantly became a Korean-style big wave. It felt like a new wig!
However, I also summarized a few points of attention after using it:
Temperature control is critical. Although the name is heat-friendly, it is not "unlimited heat resistance". The one I used can only reach a maximum of 180°C (about 350°F). If it is higher, the hair may become dry or damaged. So be sure to read the instructions and don't burn it.
It is safer to spray heat protection spray before styling. Although it is a wig, heat spray can prevent hair from fuzzing or getting damaged. I usually spray a layer before heating, and then use a curling iron.
Remember to style it after use. After styling, I will blow it with cold air to set the style, and then gently comb it with a wide-tooth comb to make the hairstyle look more natural. A well-styled wig can usually last for a few days, and you don’t need to do it every day.
Compared with real hair, heat-friendly wigs are more affordable, but they are much more natural than ordinary synthetic hair. I think it is especially suitable for sisters who want to try different styles but have a limited budget. You can straighten it, curl it, and tie it into a bun, which is really fun.
In general, if you like to play with styles like me and don’t want to buy new
human hair wigs frequently, you can really try the heat-friendly wig. It is not inferior to real hair at all!
