What Does 180 Density Wig Mean

rellyrelly Posts: 159
When I first came into contact with wigs, I was confused by those "150 density", "180 density", and "200 density". It was not until I tried on several wigs of different densities that I finally understood: this "density" is actually the "thickness" of the hair.

The so-called 180 density refers to the number of hair on the wig that belongs to the "thicker" level. It is thicker than 150 density, but not to an extremely exaggerated degree. For girls like me who have more natural hair and like fluffy styles, 180 density is almost the most suitable choice.

The first time I tried 180 density was before the holiday trip, I chose a dark brown water ripple wig. After wearing it, the overall look is very natural, not too heavy and stuffy like 200 density, nor slightly sparse like 130 density. The effect of the photo is also very good, the hair looks "volumetric" but does not press the scalp.

Another advantage of 180 density wigs is that it is not easy to see the structure of the wig cap. Especially for curly hair styles, 180 density can make the overall lines more layered and look more like your own hair.

However, I have to remind you that if you have a small head circumference or don't like heavy wigs, 180 density may feel a little hot at first. Especially in summer, it is recommended to choose a style with a breathable mesh cap structure, such as glueless wig or M cap wig, which will be much more comfortable.

In summary, if you pursue natural but thicker hair volume and want the overall shape to be more aura, 180 density is a very good choice. Especially for curly or medium-long hair styles, 180 density wig is really suitable for daily wear without losing the sense of refinement.
