Are 180-density wigs good? My real-life experience wearing them

I first started trying wigs because my natural hair was so difficult to care for. My curly hair, in particular, was a tangled mess every morning, and when I was rushing out the door, I had no time to style it. So I started experimenting with half wigs and wig-style wigs. I've tried wigs of varying densities, from 150 to 220, but the 180-density wig is what I'm most satisfied with.

180-density, in simple terms, means the hair volume is somewhere between natural and full. The first time I wore a 180-density wig, I bought a medium-length curly drawstring half wig online. From the moment I opened the package, I was struck by the natural look. It blended seamlessly with my natural hair and didn't look fake at all, which made me turn heads.

My favorite thing about it is its lightness—it's not as heavy and stuffy as a 220-density wig, nor does it make hair look thinner like a 150-density wig. The 180 density wig is just right—perfect for everyday wear, work, or meeting friends. It looks great in a ponytail or loose. My friend even thought I had extensions, but they hadn't realized I was wearing a wig!

So, if you're trying a wig for the first time and aren't sure what density to choose, a 180-density wig is a safe bet. It maintains volume without weighing down or feeling stuffy, and it's also easier on the scalp. And for curly or natural hair, a 180-density wig can enhance the volume.
