I remember when I first started wearing wigs, I wasted a lot of money. The pictures online looked so beautiful, the models looked so natural in their wigs, but when they arrived, they looked so fake! A friend even asked me privately if I was wearing a wig, and I was so ashamed.
Later, I gradually understood a few key points:
1. Unnatural hairline: This is the most common problem area. Wigs that don't simulate scalp will immediately expose the lace or U-shaped joint, which is very embarrassing.
2. Too much shine: Some cheap wigs have a very shiny surface, making them look like plastic wigs. I later chose only matte, natural human hair.
3. Inappropriate density: For example, if I have fine hair, wearing a 220-density afro is completely out of place.
4. Improper wearing method: If the wig is not fixed properly or the edges are not properly trimmed, it will easily shift, affecting the overall look.
There are solutions. I now use edge gel to secure the edges of the
lace front wig, and I also trim small strands near my hairline beforehand to help the wig blend in better with my natural hair. In short, wearing a
glueless wig naturally does require some skill and experience. Don't be discouraged; every attempt is a process of improvement!
