What Happens If You Wear a Wig Every Day?

rellyrelly Posts: 159
I used to have no particular feelings about wearing a wig every day. I thought it was just a convenient and hassle-free way to change up my hairstyle. Especially in the mornings, when I was pressed for time, a wig would instantly give me a neat and stylish look without having to worry about my hair getting messy. However, over time, I began to notice some issues.

At first, the wig was quite comfortable, and the styles were beautiful. But over time, I noticed my scalp becoming increasingly oily, especially in hot weather. Because the cap wasn't breathable, my scalp couldn't get any air, and I felt stuffy all day. Sometimes, at night, my scalp felt like a steam room. Worst of all, wearing a wig for so long made the hair around my hairline a bit brittle, and even the slightest pull would cause several strands to fall out.

Later, I realized that wearing a wig every day deprived my scalp of air and could even affect the health of my hair. I started adjusting the frequency of my wig wear to give my scalp time to rest. I occasionally let my natural hair breathe and avoided prolonged pressure, which helped my hair stay in better condition. Fortunately, a very healthy and protective option is now available: wear and go wigs. They require no glue for installation or removal. I can take them off every night to give both my scalp and the wig a rest. These wig caps are also very breathable, which has truly changed my life. Furthermore, choosing no-lace machine-made wigs can also reduce damage to my scalp.
