I'm a big fan of curly hair. Whether it's my real hair or a wig, I prefer fluffy, layered curls. I initially went for the kinky curly because they have tighter curls, a unique feel, and a lot of volume.
But then I saw a lot of recommendations online for the
burmese curly wig, claiming it's more natural and has longer-lasting elasticity, so I decided to give it a try. After trying them on, I discovered that while both styles look great, there are significant differences.
Kinky curly hair is a more explosive style with finer, denser curls, making it ideal for situations where you want to emphasize your personal style and create a more sculpted look. I wore kinky curly hair for a photoshoot, and the results were truly stunning; the photos looked incredibly three-dimensional and photogenic.
Burmese curly hair, on the other hand, has a more natural curl, excellent bounce, and a natural, airy feel. It doesn't cling too tightly to the scalp, which can actually make your face look smaller. These days, I tend to choose burmese curly hair for work or shopping. Not only is it natural, but it's also minimalist and ready to go right out of the box.
From a maintenance perspective, burmese curly is definitely easier to maintain; just a little water and a bit of detangling is all it takes to restore its curl.
Kinky curly wig requires a bit more patience, especially careful care of the sections after washing.
In general, if you're looking for a more individual and stylish wig, the kinky curly is a better choice. However, if you prefer a more natural look and easier wear, the burmese curly is a great option. I have both and switch between them for different occasions—it's my little beauty secret!
