To be honest, when I first started buying wigs, I had no idea about the difference in curl levels. I just ordered whatever looked good. Later, as I wore more wigs, I realized that different curl levels can really impact my overall look and ease of care. For example, I previously bought a water wave wig. Its curls were looser, creating a more natural-looking wave, giving it a casual, laid-back vibe. I remember once at a friend's party, I just put it on, used a little leave-in conditioner, and headed out. The result was incredibly natural, and it was completely unrecognizable as a wig. The downside is that it tends to flatten over time, especially in humid weather, when the curls become less noticeable.
Later, I tried the
burmese curly wig and realized that curl level can actually create a different vibe. Burmese curly wigs have curls between 3B and 3C, a bit tighter than
water wave wigs, but not as curly as Kinky Curly wigs. My hair instantly looks fuller and has a natural, natural volume. The first time I wore it to work, everyone thought I'd changed my hairstyle; no one could tell it was a wig. It's more durable than the water wave wig, and the curls last longer. Even after a day out, I still look in the mirror and see the shape.
If I had to choose, I'd say the water wave wig is more suitable for casual occasions, like vacations and weekend dates, while the burmese curly wig is more suitable for everyday wear, especially for work and formal occasions, as it creates a more energetic and sophisticated look. I currently have both styles, switching between them depending on my mood, but I'd say the burmese curly is my go-to.
