I've worn many wigs, including lace ones. Honestly, while lace edges look natural, they require glue and are a hassle to clean—too time-consuming for a working woman like me. So, I've gradually become more inclined toward laceless wigs. Of all the wigs I've tried, the half wig still feels the most natural.
A friend recommended a
half wig to me. I was just trying it out, but I fell in love with it the moment I put it on. It doesn't require glue; you simply use a comb to secure it to the front edge of your head. Then, by lightly styling your hair to cover the seam, you'll create a nearly seamless transition. Especially for someone with a less-than-perfect hairline like me, putting one on instantly makes my hair look thicker.
Half wigs are also very breathable, so I never feel stuffy wearing them out in the summer. I remember a business trip in particular when I brought a 14-inch half-wig with me. I styled my hair in ten minutes that morning, and it still looked natural when I arrived at the airport. What surprised me most was that it allowed me to retain my natural parting and hairline. It doesn't look "too perfect to be real" like a full wig, but rather has a natural, messy feel that's closer to real hair.
I've tried a lot of
glueless wigs, but ultimately, I feel the burmese curly half wig is the most natural for my 3c hair type. It blends perfectly with my hair texture and requires no extra touches. To me, it's the true "natural wig."
