It takes effort to curl your wig, and it can be disappointing when your curls fall sooner than you would’ve liked. Well, you’re not alone in that experience – so to help, I will help you to make your curls last longer.
Select the Right Heat Setting
Heat is something you want to be conscious of when styling your wig, both to help reduce the risk of damage and increase the longevity of your curls. Before you set the temperature, you might want to consider the right setting for your wig. I recommend using a lower setting for finer hair and a slightly higher setting for thicker hair. If the hair of your lace front wig or
glueless wig is finer, we recommend lower heat settings, as it may be more vulnerable to heat damage.
Apply Hairspray
Hairspray can be applied after you curl your
c part wigs to give a grittier texture and help hold the hair in place. When applying hairspray, be careful not to hold it too close to your curls. This will make them crunchy and heavy. You’d better hold the hairspray at a distance from your wigs so the spray falls around your hair in a light mist. This will keep your curls in place, but also keep them soft.
Protective Measures before Bedtime
Before going to bed at night, gently tuck your hair over your head and tie a bun with a loose hairtie (don't tie it too tightly), or wear a silk nightcap. This can reduce friction between your
loose deep wave wig or other curly wigs and pillowcase to avoid flattening the curls. Wake up the next day and tidy up a little to maintain good curls.
