When heat styling your human hair lace front
glueless wigs or traditional lace font wigs, the tools and products you use are of extreme importance. The last thing you want to do is ruin the hair, especially considering you have paid much money on your wig. In general, you should use professional heat styling tools (flat irons or curling irons), preferably with temperature-control dials so you can determine how much heat is being applied to the hair. Additionally, before styling a wig with heat, always apply some heat protectant to your wig hair first. This will help protect your wig from damage and prolong its lifespan. Make sure you only use a product designed specifically for human hair.
Wide-tooth combs are your new best friend in learning how to style a lace front wig, whether it is a
loose deep wave wig or a
kinky curly wig, as they can help you avoid tangles and won't pull or damage the hair strands while keeping the hair texture. Start at the hair end of your wig and slowly work your way up to the hair roots, being careful not to yank or pull at the hair. When detangling knots, be extra cautious and use a gentle touch.
Pick up a strand of hair and use the comb teeth of a fine-toothed comb to stick to the roots. Gently scrape back from the tip of the hair towards the roots, scrape 2-3 times, and then gently smooth the surface hair. The hair will be fluffy instantly.
Use a flat iron: Adjust to a low temperature to avoid burning the hair, take a strand of hair, gently clamp the hair root, hold for 3-5 seconds, and then release it to allow the hair roots to stand up. Be careful not to clamp the clamp too tightly.
