For a while, I hesitated between a 20-inch and a 22-inch wig. While the difference between the two looks minimal, the actual effect is truly remarkable.
I first bought a body wave
20 inch wig. The 20-inch length hits just above my chest, allowing it to sway slightly when I walk, creating a very natural look that won't look exaggerated at all for everyday work or work. That "just right" feel makes me feel feminine without being too overt.
Later, I bought a straight wig
22 inch wig. The length extends immediately below my chest, almost reaching my waist. The 22-inch wig has a strong presence, perfect for photoshoots or parties. Its smooth, flowing hair instantly elevates my aura.
From a maintenance perspective, a 22-inch wig requires a bit more attention than a 20-inch wig. Longer hair is more prone to tangles, especially when sitting down, where it rubs against my back. The first time I wore a 22-inch wig to a restaurant, the back of my hair was completely tangled, and I spent ages combing it home. The 20-inch wig, by comparison, was much easier to fix; a simple comb-over would fix it.
Price-wise, the 22-inch wig is definitely more expensive than the 20-inch wig. But I think it depends on the intended use. If you prefer daily wear and don't want to be too flashy, the 20-inch wig is a great choice. If you like the look of long, flowing hair or have occasions where you need to stand out, the 22-inch wig will definitely look stunning.
I basically use both these days. I wear the 20-inch wig for work and coffee with friends, and the 22-inch wig for weekend photo shoots or parties. With this combination, I can find the right look for every occasion.
