A few years ago, a friend and I started a side hustle buying wigs for our sisters, and we also discovered some wholesale channels. That's when we realized there's a huge difference between wholesale and retail wigs, and if you can't find a reliable supplier, you can easily fall into traps.
Initially, I tried buying in small quantities from various online retailers, but the quality was inconsistent. Some wigs would tangle the first time they were worn, and the curl wouldn't hold for more than a few times, leading to numerous customer complaints. Later, I realized that wholesale is essential when choosing reputable, reputable brands.
Two brands I personally recommend are
OQ Hair and CurlyMe Hair.
CurlyMe Hair: I've bought their half wigs and wear-and-go wigs, and the curl lasts very long. Furthermore, the wigs undergo a special factory-provided care process, so they're ready to wear with minimal maintenance. Wholesale prices are also much better than retail. Their 3C and 4C half-wigs are particularly popular among Black women, and the feedback from the batches I've sold has been fantastic.
OQ Hair: I highly recommend their drawstring wigs and ponytails. The drawstrings are incredibly quick to install, require no technical skills, and are easy for even beginners to put on, resulting in high demand. I remember one customer who bought an OQ Hair drawstring ponytail and then returned specifically for different lengths and colors.
Another key to
wholesale wigs is communication. Discuss your needs clearly with the brand's sales staff, such as whether you want natural or wavy curls, and whether there are any trending colors. This way, your orders will be more targeted and your chances of success will be higher.
I rarely buy from unknown stores anymore. I prefer to work with established brands. Even if the price is a little higher, the quality and customer service are guaranteed. For me, reputation is more important than profit.
