Burmese Curly vs. Afro Curly: My Real Life Experience

rellyrelly Posts: 159
I've always loved curly hair, especially naturally voluminous curls with a touch of effortless flair. A while ago, I bought two popular styles: the burmese curly and the afro curly. Honestly, I was torn between the two before buying, as both were popular but offered completely different results. Today, I'd like to share my personal experience with the burmese curly, hoping it can provide some inspiration for those struggling with the same dilemma.

Let's start with the burmese curly wig. Its curls are more subtle than the afro curly, closer to natural 3B-3C curls. The first time I wore it, I felt a significant softening of my demeanor. The curls were bouncy but not too bang-y, with a smooth, yet curvaceous look. They pair well with both everyday makeup and workwear. I've worn the burmese curly to the office a few times, and everyone commented on how smart and energetic I looked. Some even mistaken them for my natural curls. It's also relatively easy to maintain; just a little bit of leave-in conditioner and a few hand-tweaks will restore the curls.

Now let's talk about the afro curly. This style exudes a powerful presence the moment it's on your head. Its tighter curls create a more voluminous, full-bodied look. It instantly adds dimension to your features and elevates your style. I love wearing afro curly wigs when I'm out and about or at parties. They're incredibly effective in photos, and I exude the confidence and strength of a "black beauty." However, I have to admit that afro curly take a bit more time to maintain. If not properly cared for, they can dry out and tangle easily, so I usually apply some hair oil to keep them soft.

Overall, I think the burmese curly is more suitable for everyday wear and commuting, offering a subtle yet sophisticated aesthetic. The afro curly, on the other hand, is more suitable for occasions and gatherings, creating a strong presence. It's like having a shirt and a striking dress in your wardrobe—both are necessary, but they serve different purposes.
