Modern Skirting Board Styles?

New tiles being laid in lounge/living area, and getting new skirting boards.
Thought it would be good time to modernise those a little too, but was underwhelmed by the options at e.g. bunnings.
This seems to be the only modern option.
Is this the style that is being put into new builds, or is there something else I am missing?

I think keep it consistent. Colonial never goes out of style. It will look wierd if part of the house is "modern" skirting and part "colonial". What is the architrave style?

I had a hard time picking a style too, but checking out mdfskirtingworld.co.uk helped a lot. They’ve got clear photos of different modern skirting styles so you can actually see what looks good before buying. I went with a square edge in satin white—looks clean and works well with most wall colors. Their stuff came already primed, so painting was easy.
