When choosing a curly wig, I myself struggled for a long time, especially between water wave and Burmese curly. After actually wearing them, I realized that these two curl patterns give completely different feelings and are suitable for different lifestyles.
My first impression of water wave was lightness and cleanliness. The curls are relatively loose, the texture is clear, and it looks very natural without feeling heavy. For daily commutes or simple outfits, water wave easily blends into the overall look without appearing overdone. It's also relatively easy to maintain; just spray some water and scrunch it with your hands, and the curls will bounce back, making it very beginner-friendly.
Burmese curly hair, on the other hand, is a completely different feeling. The curls are tighter and more elastic, and the overall look is very voluminous and impactful. After putting it on, even if you're dressed simply, your entir

e aura will be elevated. Especially when taking photos, the Burmese curly style has a particularly noticeable three-dimensional effect, making it ideal for girls who like a stylish and curly look. However, it requires more moisturizing and patience to maintain the curl pattern.
Later, I realized that there isn't an absolutely "better" option, but rather what suits you best. If you're trying a curly wig for the first time, or if you have a busy lifestyle, a
water wave wig will be easier to manage; if you already like curly hair and are looking for volume and a stylish look, Burmese curly will better meet your expectations. For me, I prefer water wave for everyday wear, but when I want a change of pace or a more expressive look, I choose Burmese curly.
