Australian finds Jesus After 28 Years of Searching for God via Hinduism
It sounds easy enough to find enlightenment and joy in life that is free from pain and suffering. And here is the story of a man that strived to find that kind of life but after so many attempts, he found peace love and joy only in Jesus Christ. After 28 years of searching that life still eluded Michael Graham but one night, he found it without even trying.
He has been to Buddhism, Hinduism, yoga and meditation in search for that kind of life. That desire came when he was a teenager in Northern Australia even though he attended a Christian School. He started to study books on eastern philosophy and religion in his father’s library.
He practiced meditation but didn’t achieve the peace and calmness he was looking for. So he went to India to study under a famous guru but after years, everything was not as what he expected it would be. But still he became a yogi and runs meditation stations in US and India.
One day, while he was while he was meditating, the truth found him. He was in isolation for 10 days and a quiet extraordinary thing happen. The image of Jesus Christ was formed inside his chest cavity and there was an openness and love from Christ to him. Christ was also inviting and welcoming him to surrender his life and breath to Him and He will take care of him. But he didn’t know what to do and what to respond. He was then convicted by God that all he did was for nothing.
After that incident, he started to listen to an evangelist on the radio daily and have learned the principles of Christianity. He then realized that what he has been searching for is only found in Jesus Christ. In 1997, in a Billy Graham crusade, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and from that moment on, he was never the same again. He felt rest and began a change of heart and mind.
Today, he still travels to India to share the good news that true peace only comes from Jesus Christ and this what gives meaning and purpose to our lives.
