How Many Bundles Do You Need for Miracle Knots?

The first time I booked a Miracle knots appointment, I had no idea how much hair to buy. I spent hours watching videos, and everyone seemed to give a different answer.

After trying the style a few times, I realized the number of bundles really depends on the look you're going for.
For a natural everyday look, I usually use:

2 bundles for 12–16 inches
3 bundles for 18–24 inches
4 bundles for 26 inches and longer

The first install I ever did used only two curly hair bundles of 22-inch. While it looked okay at first, it felt a little thin after the curls settled. Since then, I've found that three bundles give me the fuller look I prefer.
Texture also matters. Kinky curly and afro curly hair naturally look fuller, so you may need less hair than you would with body wave or straight textures.

Another thing I learned is that it's always better to have extra hair than not enough. Any leftover bundles can usually be saved for touch-ups later.

Most people can achieve a full miracle knots hair install with 2–4 bundles. If you're unsure, I recommend getting one extra bundle. It's much easier to have too much hair than to run out halfway through the install.
