The scheme, called the Lagos Health Insurance Scheme (LHIS), is designed to provide financial protection against the costs of healthcare and to ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare.
The scheme provides access to quality health care at an affordable price and is open to all residents of Lagos, regardless of income or employment status.
The scheme is open to all residents of Lagos and provides cover for a range of medical services. These include outpatient care, inpatient care, maternity care, emergency care and laboratory tests.
The scheme also provides cover for certain preventative services, such as immunizations and cancer screenings.
In addition, the scheme offers discounts on private health services. For example, members of the scheme can get discounts on private hospital treatments and private health insurance premiums.
To join the scheme, you will need to register with the Lagos State Health Management Authority (LASHMA). You will then be able to choose a health care provider from the list of accredited providers.
